Scholarship Programs

The Hussian School of Art Education Foundation was established as a non-profit entity to manage several private scholarship funds that were established in memory os past instructors, graduates and friends of the school.

The partial scholarships are awarded annually to a Junior for use in their Senior year. The awards are made by the faculty and administration and are based on the student application, portfolio submitted, academic standing and a specific criteria as noted with each scholarship.

• Mae Katherine Gerhard Memorial Scholarship -- for an Illustration Major.
• Charles Jakubowski Memorial Scholarship -- for someone of sound character and financial need.
• Ruth & Bernard Petlock Memorial Scholarship -- for someone of sound character and financial need.
• Myra Shuman Memorial Scholarship -- for an Advertising Major.
• Barry Thompson Memorial Scholarship -- for someone proficient in production.

Additional outside scholarships may be available through your High School, Community and Professional Organizations. For these, we suggest contacting your Guidance Counselor at your school.
